Once we’re comfortable, I’ll share a bit about my life as a DJ in Istanbul—from the city’s underground electronic music scene to my passion for mixing beats. Then, we’ll gather around the DJ mixer, where I’ll introduce you to its buttons, functions, and secrets. Step by step, I’ll guide you through a hands-on DJ session, teaching you how to mix tracks and create seamless transitions. Whether you’re a total beginner or already familiar with DJing, we’ll make music together and have fun experimenting.
Throughout the experience, we’ll bond over music and culture, exchanging ideas and inspiring each other. No prior experience needed—just bring your love for music and an open mind! 🧡

Melis is not only the best DJ, but probably one of the coolest people that you can meet on your travels in the city. She is both an academician and a DJ. She is also a great host that tells a lot about the city with her own perspective. If you are actually looking for learning more about Electronic Music culture in Istanbul and learn DJing from a real DJ, that's where you should come. With her knowledge and helps, you can even find the coolest Electronic Music events in Istanbul. If you are lucky and she is playing at a gig on your travels dates (which was our case :)), you can even go to her gig, which is pretty cool. Long story short, 100% recommended!

Awesome experience! Melis really knows her stuff and she’s super friendly and outgoing. My friend and me learned a lot in a short period and had a lot of fun while doing it. Melis let us get familiar with the mixer and gave us some challenging tasks to work on. She also has an awesome cat. Will recommend.
