If you’re looking for things to do in Istanbul beyond the usual sights, join us for a truly special Turkish Paper Marbling (Ebru) workshop in a welcoming home. This experience is not just about art—it’s about culture, creativity, and connection. 🖌️
We’ll meet in Beşiktaş, where you’ll be warmly welcomed into a real Turkish home. With a cup of tea in hand, you’ll get an introduction to Ebru, a mesmerizing art form where colors float on water to create unique patterns. Recognized as part of UNESCO’s world cultural heritage, Ebru has been practiced for centuries and is still used today in Turkish design and calligraphy. 🖼️
Our instructor, Ahmet, will guide you step by step through different marbling techniques, helping you turn your creativity into stunning, handmade artwork. But what makes this experience truly special is the setting—instead of a formal workshop, you’ll learn in a calm, cozy home, where you can fully relax and let inspiration flow. This is also an opportunity to experience Turkish home hospitality, where art, conversation, and warmth come together naturally. 💌
By the end of the session, you’ll take home not just your own artwork but also wonderful memories, new friendships, and a deeper appreciation for Turkish culture. If you're searching for interesting experiences in Istanbul, this is a must-try when you are in Istanbul! 🧡

Special drawing, beautiful oil paintings, nice person, new ideas, believe me you will like it.
A special drawing of a different kind that teaches you more than one technique for oil painting. I have two oil paintings from it. I liked it very much. You should try it. You can visit it if you like it 😁😁 A different feeling

Marbling was a Turkish art we had wanted to try for a long time, and the experience was the right choice for it. It was very enjoyable to work in the workshop at Mr. Ahmet's house. He showed us different techniques and created the space we needed to work freely, and he talked about the history of marbling during our work. We had many technical training opportunities, and our teacher Ahmet provided all the guidance we needed. I liked creating large ones and making flowers the most, (although my tulips are a little big) each motif was fascinating. I made a reservation for my father's birthday, we enjoyed it as a family. Thank you.

Ahmet was a gem of a teacher! He was very patient and thorough in his explanations, and we were able to create multiple art pieces under his warm, helpful and professional watch. We were surrounded by his incredible art pieces that really showed us the true extent of the beauty of Ebru. He even so so kindly offered us two of his art pieces. We had incredible fun, and left with the deep wish to continue doing ebru back home ❤️
