Cultures, nations, histories, traditions exist so we learn from each other and try to see everything in different perspectives. The more we learn and feel the differences, the more we enjoy being a part of this world.
We, LokalBond, take the mission of creating bridges between people and cultures, through what we call, at-home experiences. We believe that we become our true selves when we are at home or when we are made feel at home. Sharing, creating, learning and teaching at home form a unique bond, when we are our true selves.

If I could choose one thing worth doing in Istanbul, this would be it. Lovely family will help you experience the turkish home atmosphere. Lots of laughs, good food and really nice new friendships. ❤️

Fun and Delicious!
I'm so excited to share my Turkish coffee expertise with family and friends! Cem is full of Turkish coffee knowledge and tradition. I loved tasting the different types of coffee and truly feel I've got the skills to WOW family and friends at home. You won't be disappointed with their warm hospitality while experiencing this rich tradition. I feel like I got so much more than just a coffee class with locals!

Cooking fun with new friends
This was the highlight of my stay in Istanbul. Baver is an excellent host and Aysu a brilliant cook. I was fortunate to attend both the breakfast and the dinner classes. In addition to the delicious dishes I learnt to cook, I met their friends and family whom they invited for dinner and they shared stories about their culture and customs.
The evening ended with Baver singing a traditional song accompanied by a traditional guitarlike instrument.
One of the friends who joined us for dinner kindly walked me back to the tram station after the most enjoyable and fun evening I had in a long time.

Amazing experience of being part of a Turkish family meal preparation
First class from start to finish. Instantly made to feel like part of the family. Prepared an amazing lunch including a stuffed aubergine dish, grated carrots with garlic and yoghurt and delicious spicy beans. Both went over and beyond to help with anything to do with our stay as well. Highly recommend 👌.

Burak's Çiğ köfte is amazing, we loved it! What we loved most was definitely the genuine atmosphere and the connections we had at the end of the experience.

A Culinary Delight Among Friends and Family
SO FUN! A culinary delight! Spent 5 days in Istanbul and this was definitely a highlight! The moment I stepped into the home I felt I was among family. I loved learning to cook a few traditioinal delicious dishes and hear about turkish traditions as well. Aysu is the sweetest and an excellent cook! We sat down family style and both food and company was more than I hoped for. By the time I left is was dark and since I didnt know the way, Ibrahim even offered to walk me to the bus. I look forward to sharing these new turkish dishes with my family and friends.

Best meal in Istanbul.
The food was incredible! It was the highlight of my true. And Aysu was such a delight! She was so nice and such a great host. I would definitely come here again. It was one of the best meals I had while traveling Turkey. 10 out of 10.
