Hello, I am Esra.

I studied Traditional Turkish Ceramic Art at the Academy of Iznik, Uludağ University, and graduated in 2002. After completing my studies, I spent two more years perfecting my skills and conducting research in my own workshop in Iznik. In 2004, I founded my current business, “Atelier Simurg,” located in Istanbul.

As a single mother, I dedicate myself to creating and teaching the ancient art of Iznik ware. I have been running workshops and regular classes at my studio for several years. I truly enjoy meeting new people from different cultures and sharing the rich heritage and magical history of Turkish motifs and handicrafts.
