For a truly local experience in Nairobi, skip the polished tours and step into everyday life with Victorina. 🧡
This experience begins the Kenyan way, with a ride on a local matatu and a walk through a neighborhood market filled with color, conversation, and familiar rhythms of daily life. Together, you’ll explore ingredients, observe how locals shop, and get a feel for how food connects community here.
From there, you’ll head into Victorina’s home, where the real heart of the experience unfolds. In her kitchen, you’ll cook a traditional homemade Kenyan meal together, hands on, unhurried, and guided by conversation rather than strict instructions. As you chop, stir, and taste, Victorina shares stories about food traditions, family life, and how meals bring people together across cultures in Kenya.
This is a small group, private experience designed for connection. There’s space to ask questions, take photos, laugh over small mistakes, and learn through doing. Nothing is rushed. The kitchen becomes a meeting point where strangers feel like guests, and guests start to feel like friends.
Once the meal is ready, you’ll sit down together and enjoy what you’ve made, sharing food the way it’s meant to be shared. Expect warmth, curiosity, and the kind of moments that stay with you long after the plates are cleared.
What makes it unique?
This experience invites guests to explore Kenyan cuisine through the perspective of a local host sharing recipes from their culture.
