For a truly authentic experience in Ankara, skip the usual tourist sites and discover Turkish culture through its food! Join Sercan, a devoted home cook, husband, and father, in his warm and welcoming home for a hands-on Turkish cooking class—just like locals do.

Using fresh, locally sourced ingredients, you’ll prepare traditional Turkish dishes, such as:
✔ Lahmacun – A thin, crispy flatbread topped with spiced meat, often called “Turkish pizza.”
✔ Hünkar Beğendi – A rich, slow-cooked lamb dish served over creamy eggplant purée.
✔ Lentil Soup – A comforting classic, enjoyed at Turkish tables for generations.
As you chop, knead, and season, Sercan will share stories of Turkish food traditions, family life, and why slow-cooked meals hold a special place in local kitchens. This is more than just a cooking class—it’s a chance to experience the warmth of Turkish hospitality, learn time-honored recipes, and bond over food, just as Turkish families do.

Once everything is ready, we’ll gather around the table to enjoy our homemade feast, accompanied by traditional Turkish tea or ayran. Whether you're a food lover, a couple looking for a unique date, or a traveler wanting a real local experience, this is the perfect way to immerse yourself in Ankara’s rich culinary culture.

We had an awesome time at Sercans place. He cooked delicious turkish food for us and it was more like meeting friends than strangers. Thank you so much for having us in your home!

This class gave us such a real glimpse into life in Ankara. We didn’t just cook — we shared stories, met the whole family, and laughed around the table. The food was traditional, comforting, and made with love. I’ve done a few cooking classes on my travels, but this one felt the most genuine.

Cooking with Sercan and his family was such a heartfelt experience. From the moment we stepped in, it felt like visiting a relative’s house. We made lentil soup, börek, and a simple but amazing bulgur salad. The flavors were incredible, but it was the conversation and hospitality that made this day unforgettable. I left with a full belly and a full heart.
