Homemade Lahmacun
Homemade lahmacun with a thin dough and a rich meat topping; cooked in a pan.
Ingredients:
Dough ingredients:
• 5 cups flour
• 1 ½ cups lukewarm water
• 5 g instant yeast
• 1 teaspoon sugar
• 1 ½ teaspoons salt
Topping ingredients:
• 400 g ground meat (beef and lamb mix works best)
• 2 onions
• 3 tomatoes
• 2 green peppers
• 1 red pepper
• 2 garlic cloves
• Half a bunch of parsley
• 2 tablespoons tomato paste
• 50 g olive oil
• Spices: red pepper flakes, black pepper, cumin, and salt

Steps for
Homemade Lahmacun
1. Make the dough; In a large bowl; mix flour; yeast; sugar; salt; and lukewarm water.; Knead until soft; then let it rest for about 30 minutes.
2. Prepare the topping; Blend the onions; tomatoes; peppers; garlic; and parsley in a food processor.; Add the ground meat; tomato paste; olive oil; and spices.; Mix everything well until smooth.
3. Shape the lahmacun; Divide the dough into small balls.; Roll each one out very thin on a floured surface.; Spread a thin layer of the topping on top.
4. Cook in a pan; Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat.; Place one lahmacun in the pan; cover with a lid; and cook until the bottom is golden and the topping is cooked.; This usually takes about 4–5 minutes.
5. Serve; Serve hot with fresh parsley; onions; and lemon wedges.; Roll it up and enjoy!
