Patlıcan Dizme – Layered Eggplant and Minced Meat
Rich layers of eggplant and spiced meat baked to perfection. Turkish musakka is less cheesy than its Greek cousin, but every bit as comforting.
Ingredients:
4-5 eggplants
300g ground beef
1 onion
1 tbsp tomato paste
1 tbsp thyme
Salt
Black pepper
Chili flakes
Olive oil

Steps for
Patlıcan Dizme – Layered Eggplant and Minced Meat
1. Chop tomatoes and peppers.
2. Sauté peppers in olive oil until soft.
3. Add tomatoes, cook until thick.
4. Season with spices.
5. Lower heat, pour in beaten eggs.
6. Stir gently until eggs are just set.
7. Serve hot with bread.
