Sütlaç – Rice Pudding

1 cup rice
2 cups water
1 liter milk
1 cup sugar
Vanilla

Steps for

Sütlaç – Rice Pudding

1. Rinse the rice and place it in a pot with 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil and cook until the water is mostly absorbed and the rice is soft.
2. Add 1 liter of milk and bring to a boil again, stirring occasionally.
3. Add 1 cup sugar and continue to stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
4. When the rice is fully cooked and the mixture thickens slightly, add the vanilla.
5. Pour into serving bowls and let cool to room temperature before refrigerating.
